PVC Pergolas, Balustrades, Gates & Screens for Val de Vie and Pearl Valley Homes
Value Fencing® provides custom PVC pergolas, balustrades, gates including courtyard gates, trellis screening, pool filter enclosures and air-conditioner condenser screens for homes at Val de Vie and Pearl Valley. Each feature should suit the home's architecture, its everyday use and the applicable estate requirements.
A patio can become a favourite place to spend an afternoon. A courtyard gate can finish an entrance. Thoughtfully positioned screens can make pool and air-conditioning equipment less prominent in views from the garden.
These improvements work best when they are considered together. The aim is a home that feels coordinated, with outdoor details that serve a useful purpose and PVC surfaces that need no recurring sanding, sealing or repainting.
Start with the space you want to enjoy
Before choosing a profile or pattern, decide what you want the upgrade to achieve. Do you need filtered shade over a patio, a more private courtyard entrance, a balustrade for an elevated area or screening around equipment?
Those are different design tasks. A useful proposal connects the appearance to the intended function, then considers dimensions, supports, access and any approval requirements.
For a single courtyard gate, that discussion can be straightforward. A project involving several structures benefits from a coordinated layout that your homeowner, architect and relevant installers can review together.
Bring the outdoor features into one design conversation
Pergolas: define an outdoor living area
A custom PVC pergola can frame a patio, courtyard or outdoor seating area. Its proportions, support positions and overhead arrangement should suit the home and the way the space will be used.
An open or slatted pergola provides partial shade, with the amount influenced by spacing, orientation and sun position. It is not a waterproof roof. Adding sheeting to a Value Fencing® pergola by any party voids the pergola warranty under our terms of sale.

Balustrades: consider the safety role first
A balustrade forms part of the protection required at an elevated edge or staircase. The design needs to address its intended location, supporting structure, fixing method and applicable safety requirements.
Discuss the finished floor levels, changes in level and proposed fixing positions during the assessment. A decorative screen should never be assumed to perform the same role as a properly specified balustrade.
Custom gates: finish the entrance properly
Courtyard gates can provide a considered entrance to a private outdoor area. The gate's appearance should work with the home, while its width, opening direction, supports, hinges and latch suit everyday use.
Our existing Val de Vie courtyard-gate project provides a local reference. Browse pedestrian, courtyard and garden gates for further design options.
Trellis screening: choose the openness deliberately
Trellis screening can add decorative detail and screen selected areas around the home. Decide which sightlines matter, how much openness you want and how the panels should relate to nearby gates or structures.
The pattern, panel size and support positions should follow that purpose. Any planting or other added load needs to be discussed before the design is finalised.
Pool filter enclosures: make access part of the design
A custom enclosure can screen pool filtration equipment from normal garden views. Its layout needs to account for the equipment, ventilation, operating access and space needed for servicing or replacement.
Discuss the requirements with the pool-equipment installer before fixing the enclosure dimensions. A pool filter enclosure does not provide a swimming pool safety barrier or replace equipment maintenance.
Air-conditioner condenser screens: plan around the actual unit
A condenser screen should be planned around the specific outdoor unit and its manufacturer's installation requirements. Screening must allow the required intake and discharge airflow, clearances and service access.
There is no single clearance dimension suitable for every unit. Confirm the requirements with the air-conditioning installer before approving the screen layout. The screen is a separate feature; it does not replace servicing or guarantee the equipment's performance.
Our published Pearl Valley condenser-screen project and Val de Vie equipment-screening project offer genuine local examples.
What does the No-Maintenance Lifestyle mean?
Value Fencing® PVC does not need recurring sanding, sealing or repainting. Occasional cleaning remains part of caring for the finish.
Gates and other moving components still need routine inspection and appropriate care. Pool and air-conditioning equipment retain their own maintenance requirements. Those distinctions help homeowners understand exactly which upkeep tasks the PVC finish removes.
What should you prepare for an assessment and quotation?
Start with your address, photographs, approximate dimensions and the purpose of each proposed feature. Include available drawings and any estate requirements already supplied for your property.
Pricing depends on the dimensions, design, supports, fixing conditions, hardware, access and installation scope. Equipment screens also depend on the service space and clearances that must remain available. A coordinated project should identify each item clearly so you can assess the proposal and its exclusions.
Quotes are valid for 24 hours under our current pricing terms. New work remains subject to the relevant site conditions and applicable estate approval process; an existing installation elsewhere does not establish approval for a different property.
What warranty applies to the PVC and installation?
PVC materials carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty, minimum 20 years, subject to its terms and conditions. Workmanship and installation carry a separate 12-month warranty.
Your quotation and warranty documents should identify the supplied scope and applicable conditions. The PVC-material warranty should not be interpreted as lifetime cover for hardware, electrical equipment or installation work.
Plan your next Val de Vie or Pearl Valley upgrade
Whether you want one courtyard gate or a coordinated combination of pergolas, balustrades and screening, begin with the way you want to use the space.
Value Fencing® can assess the proposed features together, with attention to appearance, practical access, installation requirements and the applicable estate guidelines.
